About us:

The Eternal Maker is a mother - daughter run store based on the (sometimes) sunny south coast of England. Specialising in unique and quirky fabrics we also stock haberdashery & notions, paper craft products & sharing a home with The Button Company we have what we believe to be the widest selection of buttons available in the UK!

Here at The Eternal Maker we aim to help as much as possible - if you can't see what you're after, get in touch - we may still have it but it hasn't made it's way online yet, or it may be on it's way in.  And if we don't have it - well, we'll try our hardest to find you someone who does!

The Team:

anna: Owner & the daughter part of the mother-daughter team, Anna has always been into fabrics.  Leaving a well-paid job in London to go and do something for 'her' led her to return to her roots and get back into fabric.  A workaholic, Anna enjoyed a stint as editor of Sew Hip magazine in her spare time, before realising that The Eternal Maker needed her spare time as well as her un-spare time too!

sarah: Owner & the mother part of the mother-daughter team, Sarah's expertise is really in buttons, and is the owner of our sister company, The Button Company.   What Sarah doesn't know about buttons is surely not worth knowing.  If you're interested in any of our products wholesale - Sarah's the one to sort you out - be it buttons, Japanese fabrics, Organic fabrics, felt, or trims.

rachael: Despite originally training to be a glass-blower, Rachael probably knows more about fabrics than anyone else in the team.  Knowledge gleaned from her creative background, and years of working in other fabric shops, for expert advice, just ask Rachael!

fiona: The button dyer, Fiona is responsible for all the fabulous colours in our button mixes.  With an eye for detail in the shop, Fiona keeps the chaos running in a shipshape fashion!

Jess: Enthusiastic and an avid-crafter, Jess has a love for fabrics and is great at helping pick that ideal fabric to finish off your project.  And if you hear any insanity going on (especially around 4pm) it'll be nothing to do with us, and all Jess.
